** The settling characteristics of real ale (which continues secondary fermentation in the cask) constrain the supply available to that which has been delivered and placed on the stillage by the Tuesday of Festival week. Thus if more people than expected come and drink at the earlier sessions, it may be necessary to restrict entry to later sessions, consistent with the supplies available. In order to alleviate such problems, the Festival is purchasing enough beer & cider/perry for >9000 attendance in 2008.
As we cannot absolutely guarantee that there will be beer left by the final session on Saturday evening, it follows that we cannot guarantee that an advance ticket would get you in (not much point if there's nothing left to drink)! While there is still beer & cider/perry to drink (and this is our expectation due to the quantity ordered) and there are more people trying to get in than our fire limit then an advance ticket will always give you priority entry over people who haven't bought them in advance. We also aim to process people with advance tickets (and CAMRA membership cards) more efficiently at the entry desk if we can.

Some necessary restrictions....

Young people under 18 (proof may be required) will be admitted free of charge before 5.30pm if accompanied by a parent/relative but will not be allowed to consume alcohol. Children under 14 should be taken off site by 7.30pm at the latest. Soft drinks for young people under 18 may be purchased from the food concessions. Parties containing children under 14 should sit in the entertainment marquee or outside the marquees but not in the marquees containing the bars.

Young people, recently turned 18 (or who look like they might have), should carry proof of age with them to ensure entry as licencing law demands that we refuse entry to anyone who we suspect is under 18 unless proof of age can be provided on request.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone that we consider to have consumed too much alcohol.

Dogs on a lead will be allowed onto the Festival site but not into the marquees (other than to pass through). We reserve the right to ask for them to be removed if not well behaved. Any unsanitary incident must be immediately cleared by the owners. Passouts are available to allow them to be "walked" off site.

In accordance with the law, smoking will not be permitted inside any of the marquees.

Drinks will only be served at the bars in oversized and Government stamped and lined glasses originating from the Worcester CAMRA or other official CAMRA festivals.

Glass Charges & Refunds - Conditions ##

On entry to the festival only, a refund of the cost of a glass will be made if the customer does not require a current year festival glass, provided that the customer can prove that they have with them an oversized, Government Stamped and clearly lined, glass purchased at a CAMRA organised festival.

As they are leaving the festival only, a refund of the cost of a glass minus a dirty glass handling charge will be available to customers on request provided that:
- the glass being returned is intact with no chips or cracks and is capable of being cleaned
- the glass being returned is a 2008 Worcester CAMRA Beer, Cider & Perry Festival glass (other CAMRA glasses at our discretion)
- only 1 refund per customer will be provided

Replacements for lost or broken glasses will be charged at cost.

Exchanged glasses (e.g. half for pint or vice versa) will be subject to the dirty glass handling charge (may be waived at our discretion).

The cost of a glass and the dirty glass handling charge will be available at the entry desk.
